About the Boon Wurrung Foundation

The foundation is established for the purposes of benefiting Boon wurrung people and also other Indigenous Australians who live on and value Boon wurrung country

The role and function of the foundation is to facilitate providing advice on Cultural Heritage matters, to carry on cultural programs, promoting  and managing the effective use of grants made by third parties to, or for the benefit of, Boon wurrung people, and other Indigenous Australians who live on Boon wurrung country.

The territory of the Boon wurrung extends to Werribee River in the west, Dandenong Ranges to the north and Tarwin River east of Wilson's Promontory, it extends out over the bay back to the Werribee river
